I have worked in multiple big Bay Area tech companies across 3 geographies. I believe the average well educated Indian techie/product person is smarter than their counterpart in the US. Still I see Indians working these support roles - I don’t mean tech support - Indian employees in Google, PayPal etc end up with useless low priority projects or play a support role to people they are much smarter than. Of course they get good money. But wouldn’t they be better off getting slightly less money but due respect to their credentials ?
